Remember we do not walk this road alone. Christ is, behind and before us, within and around us, speaking to us through the words of friend and stranger.

by Cameron Wiggins Bellm

May we who are merely inconvenienced remember those whose lives are at stake.
May we who have no risk factors remember those who are vulnerable.
May we who have the luxury of working from home remember those who must choose between preserving their health or making their rent.
May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close remember those that have no options.
May we who have to cancel our trips remember those who have no safe place to go.
May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market remember those who have no margin at all.
May we who settle in for a quarantine at home remember those who have no home.
As fear grips our country, let us choose love during this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other, let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our neighbor. Amen.

During this time, it is important that we remember those within our community that will be struggling. This past week, both our pantries saw a 50% increase in the number of those in need. Chances are, this will continue and will most likely increase. Let us live our mission as the hands and feet of Christ in the world.
If you would like to make a non-perishable donation to St. Patrick’s or St. Joseph’s food pantry, Lisa Spooner or Marie Stoker will have coolers on their front porch in which it can be placed. Please make a note as to which food pantry it should be taken to.

Marie Stoker Address: 257 Bates Ave. Oneida
